American Sign Language

American Sign Language (ASL) is the third most used language in the United States today. This course is designed for students who are interested in learning about the Deaf community and developing ASL expressive and receptive skills. The course will provide an introduction to ASL and Deaf culture. You will learn practical and common language so you can have a brief conversation with someone from the Deaf community. Learning will include a combination of lecture, practice exercises, video, and class discussion.

Storytelling 101

Are you a storyteller? Would you like to develop your speaking skills or confidence? This engaging three-hour workshop will get you started. Break out of your comfort zone or find an opportunity to take the spotlight. Join us for an entertaining evening of improv and storytelling! We鈥檒l begin with short, fun exercises focused on voice, gestures and facial expressions. Improvisational exercises will give you a chance to show off the skills you鈥檝e learned.
