Maximizing Your Social Security Benefit

NYS Notary Public Law Refresher Course

This course reviews and updates the current New York notary laws. The current 22-page New York Notary Law Booklet will be reviewed and highlighted with the new electronic notarization information and notary journal recordkeeping protocols. This presentation is a must for every commissioned New York notary to properly execute their authority, duties and responsibilities. Examples using real-life scenarios will explain situations that a notary public officer is likely to encounter. Topics include an overview on how to avoid conflicts of interest, legal ethics, allowable fees, and addressing special situations. All materials will be provided, including a website link to the NYS Department of State licensing information and a 68-page Notary Review Guidebook with current glossary terms. Notary Public Review Workshop

This workshop prepares you for the New York State notary public test and will provide you with a comprehensive overview of the notary public鈥檚 role. Topics include avoiding conflicts of interest, maintaining professional ethics, charging proper fees, handling special situations, when to defer to an attorney, and minimizing legal liability.
