Program Goals

To prepare competent entry-level adult cardiac sonographers in the cognitive (knowledge), psychomotor (skills), and affective (behavior) learning domains for the following concentration: adult cardiac sonography.

Program Outcomes

  • To demonstrate the technical skills necessary for an entry-level position in Cardiac Ultrasound.
  • To perform the skills involved in their specialty areas and the profession of Diagnostic Cardiac Sonography.
  • To demonstrate proper discretion, judgment and professional conduct in the performance of medical imaging procedures.
  • To conduct oneself with high standards of professionalism, patient care, and maintain high educational standards.
  • To effectively interact and communicate with patients, members of the healthcare team and the public.
